If you are family or friends and would like to view a password protected post you need to request a password. You can request the pw by text.
As a visitors who know the password: there is a box, type the password once, and the browser usually remembers it for a while.
Short version (good under Search or on All Stories)
Some stories are for family and close friends only. If a story says Protected, tap it, type the password in the box, and hit Enter. After that, your browser usually remembers the password for that story so you do not have to type it every time. Use the same device and browser if you want it to stay unlocked.
Slightly longer version (good on the About page)
A few posts on this site are password protected. That is on purpose. They are meant for family and friends, not the open web.
How to open one:
1. Click the story title.
2. Type the password in the box.
3. Click Enter (or Submit).
What happens next: WordPress unlocks that story in your browser. You can immediately scroll down and read the pw protected post. Afterwards you can come back later on the same phone or computer without typing the password again for a while. If you use a different device, clear cookies, or use a private/incognito window, you will need to enter the password again. The password does not create an account and it does not subscribe you to anything.
